Photographer's Note
What might you ask is a tagine? It's a type of Berber glazed pottery used for cooking. Seen here are the lids for the pots spotted in a Marrakesh outdoor market.

Hello Chris, Nice view of these tajines. I was tempted to buy one, but finally, I resist this temptation. Nice composition and colours. Best regards MAlgo

Hi Chris, great memory from Marrakech, i like a lot to eat tagine made with chicken and olives,a typical close up from the street of this city always full of tourists, but not in the last year. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Chris,
I imagine a steamy and spicy lamb stew and couscous under a lid like these. I think I could find these in well stocked shops at home so I wouldn't have to carry one all the way from Morocco. But they are probably not as nicely displayed in a department store in northern Europe.

Gert

Hi Chris
Lovely colours and arrangement of tagines with their glaze showing well with the reflected light. I have made tagines but in a saucepan not in one of these wonderful pots.

Bonjour Chris,
Le cadrage serr met les poteries en 騅idence. La prise de vue permet de voir les d騁ails des tajines. La lumi鑽e rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journ馥.

Hi Chris,
I think indeed that the best thing one can do with these souvenirs is to... photograph them. Especially now in the digital era, instead of accummulating the souvenirs one can simply have a record of them on the screen.
Nice composition form the Marrakesh market.
I was in fact considering to visit Marrakesh in October when my daughter school has half term break, but it seems Morocco may be placed on the red list of UK travel advice tomorrow so it would be quite prohibitive from going there...
Maybe another time...
Very good reportage,
M

Hello Chris, yes we have a tagine but not from Morocco! Hard to store and rarely used!
I think that as others have stated, simply take a few shots of the pottery as a reminder.
They make an interesting picture, colourful, glossy surfaces and attractive patterns.
Excellent sharp close up.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Chris,
A wonderful and very colourful composition!
I also like the stews prepared in these tagines of the Magrebian kitchen.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Chris
Those fancily finished ones are pure tourist ones and not suited for cooking in. A classic sight in the Marrakech souks.
cheers

chris
I remember these ceramic objects while there, typical to cook their meals. I liked the visual effect of the repetition of shapes and the colors here.
take care

Hello Chris,
So, did you buy one? With their shape, they are difficult to fit in a suitcase, but at least, you transferred them to 2-D skillfully.
Regards,
MT
