Ourika valley
In the far distance you can see the little village Setti Fatma where I spent 3 nights.
It`s an 3 hours bus ride or 2 hours by taxi from Marrakesh. The paved road ends here.
On weekend its very crowded with locals escaping from the hot and dusty town. The highlight are little restaurants with tables on little islands in the river.
The village is situted at an attitude of about 1300 meters
At my guesthouse was sun only between about 10:30 am and 2:30 pm and the nights has been very cold in october.
But walking there about noon was fantastic.

Hello Ronny,
You chose a nice angle with the valley, between the two high mountains.
This create nice depth and perspective.
Nice soft contrast with the blue sky in background.
Excellent composition also splendid presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hello Ronny,
Sounds like my kind of place. Being cold at night is a welcome luxury in Morocco. It was 45c in August in Erg Chebbi and 30-35c at night when I was there. Spent as much time in the swimming pool as possible. A good elevated pov overlooking this charming green oasis in the valley. Tfs!

Helo Ronny,
This is probably one of the areas where they shoot films supposed to be take place in Afghanistan. I've never been to Morocco but this view gives me a pleasant nostalgia for Afghanistan, which was among my greatest experiences long ago, before the wars. This is a very exciting view with superb light and colours.

Gert

Hello Ronny
I like the way the villages are tight and placed in such a way as to maximize room for agriculture. Nice capture.

Hi Ronny,
Beautiful valley between very dry looking mountain slopes. Sidelight gives good contrasts to this landscape. I can imagine that village is very old and life is not easy over there.

Hello Ronny,
You searched for an excellent viewpoint for this splendid panorama showing the small fertile area near the river, the houses that were built close together on a strip between the fields and the mountain slope and finally the rugged, naked mountains. This all under a beautiful blue sky.
Wonderful composition and attractive colours.
Yes, I believe that the nights in October can be very cold.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Ronny,
Beautiful place indeed! Great point of view from above towards the small village. It seems to be a great base for walks around. I like the pleasant natural colors here.
Is this the area where they found the two Scandinavian girls with their throats slit in the tent?
Great reportage,

Hi Ronny
now this is certainly off the beaten path. is that grass real or was it brought in from another area...looks like a golf resort or something. love the isolation factor, and how the mountains form that V pattern with depth. So cool. cheers

maybe I crossed this area, but I am not sure.
the landscape it is similar with the villages in northern chile with small green areas in the flat valley and arid slopes around. the group of cubic houses are like small animals united in a corner. beautiful place and photo.

Hi Ronny,
The length of the valley is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the mountains. The quality of the light beautifies the colors. Have a nice day.
