Hello Rosemary,
A stark landscape but one with a beauty all of its own. I like the composition and pre-eminence given to that lovely sky. The side lighting brings a sculptured effect to the sand hills. Excellent colours and sharpness.

desert landscapes are nature's minimalist offerings and yet they are nearly always full of lots of textures and shapes. This one is a mix of gentle slopes beneath a magically complex sky. Beautiful!

Hi Rosemary,
Gentle is a great word for this, it is amazing that a place so inhospitaable in appearance can so easily take on this soft and curved look. The dunes or rocks look like they could be huge cushions. Of course, I know the reality is likely far from that, but it makes a beautiful color. Red on blue is always one of my favourite color combinations, and this is a fantastic example. Magical light.

Another stunning view from Namibia. You have balanced the composition well, with roughly one third land and the rest dedicated to the attractive sky. The mild light has produced some very pleasant colours,

A wonderful sky above this beautiful desert landscape, especially with the clouds between the top of the dunes and the blue opening in the sky.

Hi Rosemary,
I like very much desert landscapes. This is very first on my places I would like to visit with the huge orange sand dunes. Here the orange color is well supplemented with the well saturated blue of the sky. Very interesting sky one which is not very typical for desert I guess. What is striking here is also the meeting of the flat foreground with the huge sand hills rising further in the distance.

Dear Rosemary, I have been there and I have seen it but I have not seen it like this because this is seen through the eye of a real photographer and a real artist. And it is fabulous, for lack of a more appropriate adjective, and I do not even want to begin to try and devise appropriate adjectives for your images in general, and of Namibia in particular. Just keep it coming and do that book. With my very best wishes.

Amazing desert landscape, and no people climbing the dunes. They look like painted. marvelous sky with fluffy clouds. My Namibia photos became rather deep archive already :). Lovely shot and I am grateful for the size :).

Dear Rosemary

I think of the 2 photos in this series, I prefer this one. And I'm trying to think why, as both have the vivid colours and the Thirds Framing, aswell as very similar landscape. Well I can't put my finger on why, it just is, I suppose. The textures, the way you've composed it, and the impressive depth of field are all pretty special. An extraordinary photo of magnificent landscape.

Difficile de passer outre de ce magnifique paysage de ton pays, c'est tout simplement merveilleux a voir, la ciel s'ajoute a la beaut� du paysage, ( j'aurai cadrer un peu plus bas au niveau du ciel, ce qui donnait un effet pano....juste mon opinion, simple car je l'aime

Another glorious photo that I missed from you. I never get tired of desert landscapes and this is different with the cloudy sky. I like the way that the sweeping curves of the dunes form an arc with that lovely scrubby flat desert in the FG. A very well proportioned composition.
