Photographer's Note

In the delta of the Sine Saloum river , the village of Sipo at the edge of a bolong (arm of the sea where salted water of the sea mixes with fresh water with the river); Some boxes and a large heap of shells... oyster shells !
Small oysters which cling to the plunging roots of the mangroves. These shells are consumed here roasted on a wood fire, and they is famous, I can testify some ! Then the piled up shells that one sees on the right side of the photo often finish on the tracks in order to fill the ruts.
