Photographer's Note
Picture was taken in one of the very poor areas of Soweto. Soweto is the largest of the townships in South Africa. Its name is derived from "South Western Townships" and is bordering Johannesburg's mining belt in the south.
I was doing a day tour inside Soweto back in 2001 when this picture was taken. Soweto is actually very diverse. You have the biggest hospital in the world here, some houses look very fancy and wealthy but many people were also living under conditions with no running water or electricity present.

Hello Mirko,
Good value documentary-style picture. Good timing on the central action and considered composition & framing. Nice work.

hi Mirko,
I fully agree with Benny about the documentary value, especially since we don't get to see many such pictures here on TE.
I like the way you have used the water line in the composition, leading the eye to the woman pouring water and to the other people in the background.
good b/w, contrasty and with a good tonal range.
