Photographer's Note

Bo-Kaap is a village in central Cape Town, it was the place where the muslins, brought from Asia, lived like slaves and prisoners. They painted the houses with strong colors in a way to protest against the Dutch, who painted the houses in white only.

Bo-Kaap um bairro da regi縊 central da Cidade do Cabo. Era nesse local que viviam os mu輹lmanos, trazidos da チsia, que eram escravos ou prisioneiros. Eles pintavam as casas com cores fortes numa forma de protesto contra o domnio holand黌, j que os brancos pintavam suas casas de branco.
