Photographer's Note
Dutch Reformed Church, Dullstroom.
The corner stone of the church was laid on the 9 January 1892 and the inauguration took place in 1893.
During the Anglo-Boer war (1899 - 1902) the little town of Dullstroom was sacked on two occasions under the Scorched-Earth policy. The first sacking was on the 16 November 1900 when the town was partially destroyed. On the 18 April 1901 the whole town including the church was burned to the ground.
Fortunately the church was rebuilt and inaugurated in 1905.
