Photographer's Note

17 Mile Drive is a coastal road around the western part of Monterey Peninsula. The road culminates in the famous Lone Cypress viewpoint but there are many other dramatic sea views to enjoy along the road. This photo was taken at Pescadero Point. Everybody probably heard about Big Sur, the stretch of Californian coast which starts just south of the Monterey Peninsula. It is spectacular indeed. The Monterey Peninsula is an amazing introduction to it.

Hello Mariusz,

The house has a fine view and this photograph has an equally fine view of the house!
You did well to include the vertical driftwood as a fine f/g anchor, creating a fine sense of depth and a balance, to the house. Both features have strength in their positions.
It is a very well composed and photograph, with an abundance of varied textures.

Mariusz, the dead woods bathed by the salty air give a lot of charm to the place. Cypres are growing very close to the sea. This rocky coast represents a perfect spot for anglers and hikers. Fine colors, good sharpness, instructive photo note, happy new year.

Another lovely scan that is hard to tell it was originally a print. California is, indeed, a pretty place. I would love to live there if it didn't have so many wildfires, earthquakes and if it weren't so expensive to live there. 👍🏻👍🏻

I would like to know this area, but I had no time. so many places in western USA and you get to know only a sample in 3 weeks.
nice details of the area with the dead tree and the house in evidence.
here a terrible heat (34C) at first day of year.

A superb coastal scene of this rocky shoreline with its long strands ogf kelp seaweed. Good sharpness & the cottage amongst the bg pine trees looks like a nice place to live in or holiday in. Tfs!

Lovely picture of the 17 mile drive.
I love the gnarled tree-trunks, "growing" on the white rocks. The texture of the sea is also quite incredible.And indeed, it must be quite something to live in that house with a view !

Dear Mariusz
Women are not allowed on Holy Mountain, there is a legend that only the Virgin Mary is allowed to enter this holy ground.
The Serbian Emperor Du啾n the Mighty violated this law and in some adversity his wife entered this holy place, so of all Serbian kings and emperors only Emperor Du啾n was not proclaimed a saint.
There are many beautiful beaches in Ouranopolis, previous photos for family enjoyment.
I like a lot this your places composition.
Very interesting details of nature with the house fascinatingly positioned in this area.
