View of the Salins du Midi basin with the city walls of Aigues Mortes was once well protected from invasions
The water has almost the color of wine
On the Salin d'Aigues-Mortes, the color is due to the Artemia constitutes a food of choice for the flamingos
On the complementary picture , a crane deposits the harvested salt, the salt is stored as a mountain 20 meters high and 800 meters lon who called the "camelles"

What a view, this great wine coloured lake and then the expansive Vale stretching across its full length, you really got an excellent sense of the size of this place. Beautiful light for your photo too.

Beautiful and wide view of the purple coloured water. The long line of fortress walls and towers of the city look great in the background and stand out nicely against their surrounding colours.

Again the specialist busy of the big panorama view.
This is the first time that I see and read about the red/brown colour of the water.
Nice architecture in background with the old facade of the castle.
Sharpness and clarity are perfect photographed.

that's a funny title, it gives an amusing twist to this fascinating picture. I like very much the unusual colour of the water and the reflections of the blue sky in it. There's great depth in this view and the city walls stand out superbly between the two wide layers, the golden colour is eye-catching and delightful. Oui, la couleur de l'eau attire toute attention, mais si tu imprimes ton cliche, il y aurait trop de magenta... la photo est complementaire a la precedente sur le sujet. Mwerci Didi et il est bon moment de nous rappeler Joel qui brillait a Languedoc-Roussillon avec son camera.
