Photographer's Note

One more photo of the Azenhas of the Mar the sun already low and the light was well soft.

The Azenhas Do Mar is an old population, whose origins if lose in the memory of the time. Date, probably, of the time of the Arab domain the implantation of the first water mills, of sarraceno style, placing itself enters century VIII and XIII, the popular azenhas that had given to the name to the azenhas.Unhappyly some already had disappeared, distributed to long of the river until the a the Beach of the Azenhas of the Sea and were, necessarily, the floodgates that they defined the volume of the river, making to move the azenhas. This azenha, now recouped, ground cereals. Old, many were the existing azenhas and many were the millers who if dislocated here to first grind its flour and its cereals, this place until were called Beach of the Millers and only later, were Azenhas of the Sea

The clarity and sharpness are just amazing. You almost feel as if you were standing on that cliff. The colors are outstanding with the town drenched in a warm glow thanks to the sunlight and a magnificent blue ocean. The horizon is in a good spot as well with the sky taking up a third of the picture.

Tinha a sensa鈬o que tinhas mais do que dois posts anteriores com esta perspectiva. Apesar do PdV ser o mesmo, s縊 fotos bastante diferentes e � muito interessante compar�-las. Se � certo que a vista � muito pitoresca, todos sabemos que isso n縊 basta para conseguir fotos t縊 atraentes como esta ou as outras. A mistura dos tons quentes do sol poente e do azul do c騏 e do mar junta-se ao padr縊 geom騁rico das casas penduradas na arriba para fazer uma imagem lind﨎sima.

The capture of the poser of the sea is an asset to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the village, it is also leading our eyes toward the horizon which is giving depth to the photo. I love the lighting of this picture and the interplay of sunlight and shadows. The different hues of the ocean contrast well with the golden cliff and buildings.

A beautiful, postcard perfect image. The curve of the rock looks almost manmade, and the red roof buildings look superb against the blue sea and wonderfully active sky. Perfect composition, colour and light and a fascinating subject with a great note, thank you.

Hi Goncalo,
Superb utilisation of the great light cast on these sea cliffs. I like the motion provided by the breaking waves and gradual hue change in the sky and water. The village looks very interesting and the uniform architecture is a great subject for the composition.

Great divided the view over cliif-top town. Contrast to blue sea is exquisite on the morning light.
