Photographer's Note

Situated on the plains, close to the Ayeyarwady River, Bagan, once the capital of the Kingdom, is still one of the most impressive places in Myanmar, with more than 2000 temples spread over an area of around 16 Km2. This is a view of the site, seen from the top of one of the temples.
It's worth to climb the stairs of several temples because the view is always worth it.

incredible, beautiful panoramic view with the temples dislocated on the field. The POV is splendid so as the natural colors and the pleasant contrast with the sky.

My beloved Bagan.....I have not seen it so green in december or january when I was there twice.
Good high POV,I think from the top of one of these countless pagodas and great depth.

Hello Ana, you've very special photos from your visit to Southeastern Asia. In this one, the characteristic temples attracted my attention at the first glance. The plains seem to be very fertile with the green vegetation on it. By climbing the stairs of the temple, you have chosen a very perfect vantage point which allows us to see the vastness of the plain.

I like how you caught the temples in the sunlight with the FG in the shade. The eye can move through the frame from temple to temple.

This maybe one of my favorite small city in Asia that I have been to. I like the large open view of the whole are with hundreds of stupas in full view. the sky and cloud is just a lovely complement to the beautiful landscape. Thanks

Hi Ana,

You're capturing this scenery from good angle. It's so interesting to see ruins in a lot of buddhist temples that have built in plain. And, the comparison of the entire color is wonderful.

Most of the pictures of Bagan I've seen are from a higher Pov and taken early in the day. You have presented here something different with a lower POV, yet higher than ground levels, where we see hundreds of stupas vanishing to the horizon. I also like the play of light and shadow in the open space in the FG. I long to go to Bagan, one of my dream destinations! Fine work!
