Shrimp Cordonata Villa Lante - Baggnaia (VT)

Above is the fourth terrace, containing the water chain, a play of water that Vignola added to many gardens of the sixteenth century. Also visible at Villa Farnese and Villa d脱ste, this stream of cavities cascades down the center of the steps to end at the bottom of the terrace.
A beautiful chain of water that connects the terracing of the Fountain of the Dolphins with that of the Fountain of the Giants.

Symmetric composition with this unique fountain descending down the terraces.....shot from right point....The fountain appears like a serpent ...the front does resembles the head of the snake.....

Very pleasing and interesting series about the Villa Lante park and the different fontanas in the premises.
Excellent pattern on this photo, well shown in depth and superbly managed the light and shadows cast.

Hello Silvio, This cascade reminds me of Villa d'Este. Excellent symmetry, nice colours. Lovely place. I suppose that the hedge is Buxus sempervirens. In many places, it was eaten by a moth.

This highly ornamented "canal" has given the photo super depth down the steps of the terrace. The hedges provide fine frames and the green and grey areas make the photo very eye-catching.

quite an elaborate decoration. I like how it stretches from the foreground and leads the eye to the centre and further to the main fountain. Great close up in the foreground. Very good depth of the field.

This is such a lovely idea, a central sculpture, taking the water downhill!
I like your composition, the curving structure dividing the steps and edged with box hedge.
The dappled sunlight adds beauty to the scene.
