Photographer's Note

Saint Stephen's Basilica in Budapest is the largest church of the capital. It was built between 1851 and 1905 in neo-Renaissance style, its professional restoration was finished in 2003. The impressive exterior of the building is in harmony with the artistic interior: at the sanctuary you can see the Carrara marble statue of St. Stephen, the first Hungarian king. In the Holy Right Hand chapel you can see a national relic of Hungary, the Holy Right Hand of St. Stephen. The treasury is open to the public and visitors can enjoy the panorama of Budapest from the round look-out tower between April and October (a lift is available). The more than 100-year-old, renewed organ and the wonderful acoustics of the church make it possible to organize unforgettable church music concerts here.

This is a wonderful picture. The composition is superb, the street in the foreground leading to the church. And the orange color really create the mood.

I love the great depth and three dimensional effect of this fine architecture, excellent clarity, contrast and detail. The symmetry lead the eyes to into the far end. to evenmore grandeur look. The structural intricate designs are so well rendered revealing its majesty. This is a very fine image, a remarkable landmark. Congrats

this one was not an easy capture, because of the difference between the sunlit basilica and the street under the shade in foreground.
You have reached a good balance between both areas, in an image very sharp, and with a good exposure. The warm colors increase the beauty of the composition.

Very beautiful church with fantastic colors and architecture. I like the large open space in the front and those cafes on the sides. I like that strong yellow color due to the light. Well captured with sharpness and colors.
