The Valentre bridge also called the Devil's Bridge, is a fortified bridge from the XIVth century crossing the the Lot River in the west of Cahors
Built in the time of Franco-English wars, the bridge through which one enters only on foot, its construction lasted more than half a century between 1308 and 1378

Splendid light and colours enable you to do full justice to this iconic bridge. I like very much the point of view and the light and shadow contrasts. The people milling about under the tower animate the scene and provide scale. Top class technical quality.

The stone path adds strong lead in lines and diminishing linear perspective and vanishing point. The arch of the tower and the people are well positioned at the vp. Good warm cold color contrasts between the sunlit illuminated tower facade and the bg blue sky. Tfs.

the tower of the bridge stands out in a marvellous way, not only for its amazing height, that dwarfs every other structure in the town, but also for the impact the warm light has on it. You gave the tower the strongest and most prominent position in the frame. I like very much the colours and the atmosphere, you managed the contrasts so effectively. spectacular light! It feels so warm and pleasant. The long shades also add a nice touch. I like the sky very much as well it looks as touched by a paintbrush of an artist. It goes really well with the architecture of the tower.
