Photographer's Note

Tool this of the Apollo capsule at the Kennedy space center here in Cape Canaveral, Florida. If you get near here, it is well worth the visit. The capsule is in a very dark room and shows evidence of re-entry into the atmosphere from heat.

Actually I used a monopod for this one.

O fundo preto ficou bem interessante nessa foto, cria uma atmosfera incr咩el. O contraste � muito bom, assim como a luz muito bem gerida. A nitidez � impressionante.

a very good setting for this capsule, in a dark room. I saw the twin in Washington, at the Smithsonian air space museum, very interesting historical space ship.
I like your shot, for the composition, the point of view and the lights. very well done.

Hi Jimmy,

I always get astonished that there are conspiracy theorists who actually still believe that the 1969 moon landings were faked in a Hollywood studio, despite 'Nasa' releasing over 3,000 photos of the event in the past year. I saw an interesting program in Europe where each stage of the event was meticulously planned leaving no margin for error. Amazing that 2-3 men can be cooped up in this small capsule for long periods of time. Tfs!

In advance, thanks for sharing such a great example of space exploration hitsory.

It is not the typical photo I would expect to find here at TE, but you make a great impact with this photo as the capsule itself stands beautifully in contrast to the dark background and floor.
Nice sharp focus and the angle showing of some of the interior is very fitting.
