Photographer's Note

Beautiful curves accentuated by the layer of snow. One of my favorite places near the heights of Cauterets. The decor is sumptuous ... all year round !
With the cooling of the last few days and the snowfall in the mountains, I imagine that this place is currently covered with snow almost like on this time in February.

Bonjour Jean

The river adds linear perspective and guides the eye towards the majestic snow capped peaks on the horizon. Good sharpness and the dark streambed also adds graphism. Tfs!

Hello Jean,
The trees and the sky tell us this is not a monochrome photo, but most of the view is almost black and white. The winding creek and the surrounding snow have created an attractive pattern,

Real snow this time, not plastic covers!

It is beautiful!
The curving stream makes a dark, guiding path, through the white of the snow, to the trees and the beckoning, 'v' shaped gap between the mountains.

Hello Jean,
A great landscape with dark mountain slopes on either side of this valley. The narrow dark stream in the foreground also adds a nice contrast with the snowy parts.

Hi Jean,
Funny how water finds it's way along this stream leaving islands of pure white snow between. Mountains look great as well all the pines scattered around. As a fan of the Alps you know I love this view from Pyrenees.

amazing switch between the tropical beach with the palm trees and the snow covered mountains.
Great composition with such a charming streanm in the foreground. The abundance of snow is quite apparent.

Well framed snow view and nice detail where the stream leads you through backed by the peaks. It's cold but sunny, retaining good white snow colour and much of its surrounding features. Excellent shot
