Very nice capture; good pov and nice layout.
Those fallen trees are also very typical on the Mediterreanean coast.

Hi Wilson,
A very nice and original subject. The picture is also very well-composed and your timing was very good with the sailing boat. Personally, I am not too fond of strong spring lighting. There is a great risk of chromatic aberration when shooting bare trees and of over-exposure. I would have loved to see this scene in back-light with the bare tree more or less in silhouette and the light coming through the sails of the sailing boats. TFS and have nice weekend!

A well chosen pov for this one, with the tree naturally framed in between the sail boats which balance well the image. Good contrast and colors too.

The dark grey colour tones of the dead tree care for a nice picture.

In spite of the tree filling most of the frame, the sailboat is the eye-catcher!
But still the tree is the main motif, and judged by the main trunk we are talking about hundred of years...
A well framed spring mood, but pity for the tree!

Hi Wilson,

The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The branches of the trees in the foreground have a graphical effect. The point of view takes our eyes toward the mountain in the background which is giving depth to the photo. The nice blue sky is sending a light which is enhancing the colors of the scenery. Original composition after an irresistible inspiration in front of this rare subject. I think I should do the same. It is interesting to see the shots the moment before end the moment after this one, that you keep in your pockets. Must be a nice walk in Cumbria.

Hi, Wilson. There are good details on the tree and its branches make nice lines occupying the space of the image. It's also interesting to see the white of the boats on the right and left. They contrast well with the blue of the water.

Hi Wilson, I ask myself, while looking through your gallery, why? Why am I sitting in an office when there is such a beautiful country to explore.. Coniston is one of my favourite lakes having spent about two months there a few years agao (installing cricket Pitches). I loved the isolated roads , the quarries and the beautiful rivers and streams.. You have captured this tree and yatch well and it deserves all the accolades it has received. This is a fine scenery much in my taste. I like both the fallen tree and the sight of the sailing boat at the right.
