Photographer's Note
This evening I escaped from the coronavirus arrests and went to dinner with my brother. He lives at a permitted distance, only 100 meters from my house, but obviously family reunions are prohibited. In his small garden I found this beautiful surprise. A young blackbird that is learning to fly but fortunately has proved very collaborative. Considering that the treknature site hasn't been working for a month, I thought I'd put it here, also to show something recently. A different photo in the WS.
The common blackbird (Turdus merula) is a species of true thrush. It is also called Eurasian blackbird (especially in North America, to distinguish it from the unrelated New World blackbirds),or simply blackbird where this does not lead to confusion with a similar-looking local species. It breeds in Europe, Asiatic Russia, and North Africa, and has been introduced to Australia and New Zealand. It has a number of subspecies across its large range; a few of the Asian subspecies are sometimes considered to be full species. Depending on latitude, the common blackbird may be resident, partially migratory, or fully migratory.
BIRDWATCHING ILLEGALE

Ciao caro Luciano,
What a wonderful surprise to find this young blackbird at your brother's garden! Perhaps you shouldn't have gone to visit your brother but, if you were caught by the sight of this beautiful young bird, I am sure you were careful to preserve social distancing with other human beings!
Blackbirds are common in Scotland (and in our garden too) and they have the most delightful and loud song. But I don't think I've ever seen such a fine photograph of such a young one as this.
Your workshop picture is delightful too. Did you use flash for these photographs? And, if so, does flash worry these birds?
Thank you so much for these lovely images!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. I only occasionally look at TN - so it is now having problems too? Oh, dear. I wonder for how much longer TE and TN can survive? And what about TL? - I used to put photos on there but not for a while.

Hi Luciano
Black birds are considered an absolute pest in Australia but I must admit that this illegally taken photo of one is great!
Stay safe.

Hello Luciano, So TrekNature doesn't work anymore. And what about TrekLens? I am afraid that one day we will see that also TE is gone forever. It is quite sure that it will happen, but when, this is the question.
But what a wonderful picture you could take. This cute birdie seems very young. It is sitting on the branch of yew. But is it safe? Are there no cats around? Once there was a very young bird in my garden. It couldn't fly still. After some time later, when I came to the garden again I saw a cat from the neighbourhood and there was no birdie anymore :(. But these are the laws of nature.
Stay healthy

Hello Luciano,
It's a nice photo as such, but even nicer is that you managed to take a new photo. You captured the very young bird with perfect sharpness and found it in a place where it was so nicely surrounded by dark leaves. Let's hope this was a first sign of a return to a normal life.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Luciano,
This young bird is obviously quite confused, being caught in the middle of darkness. Your flash worked perfectly, the exposure is just right. Singing of blackbirds is one of my favourite spring memories, especially at the place where I grew up, far away from noise of a city.

Hello Luciano,
Two beautiful photos of this young common blackbird in the garden of your brother. He must have about the same age as the young "merel" in my garden. This blackbird yelled to his parents to give him some food again while he can already fly. Lazy creature.
I also need to take some pictures of it.
Excellent presentation
Be careful and stay safe, Rob

Ciao Caro Luciano,
Oh, such naughty behaviour!
But, wow, what a beautiful, sharp photograph of this young blackbird!
You mentioned in your critique to me, that blackbirds, along with the other dark-coloured birds are ugly but I love them. I love the see the male blackbirds, hopping across the lawn, looking for worms. Blackbirds are also the best sentries; their alarm calls ring out across the garden whenever a marauding cat appears!
This is a superb, sharp photograph and wonderfully achieved, considering the dark conditions. It is recognisable as a youngster, not only from its plumage but also, its overlarge beak!
Without TN operating, maybe we'll see more photographs, like this on TE.
Take care and keep safe,
Bev :-)

A very nice bird portrait, when we stay at home for a long time, such trifles are very attractive, but it's not a butterfly :)

Hi Luciano,
Now in the current quarantine times every minute what we can spend outdoors is like a lifesaving action, and the mot common plants-birds-fungi etc. are the most wonderful gifts we've ever received. Great shots of the blackbird chick, nice composition and proper flash usage as always from you. Congratulations, stay safe and thanks for the great images.
Kind regards from Ireland, L疽zl

Luciano, that common blackbird chick is hidden in the foliage. It is a refuge to escape from the cats. That bird is found all over the world, it is well adaptated to the life close to human beings. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Bonjour Luciano

Ciao Luciano
This little photo model of yours is so cute. I love birds and I'm glad you posted it here. :-) Also, a very atmospheric image taken in the dark.
I hope your "house arrest" is over for the butterfly season... I'm guessing as important to you as opening of your bar in the summer...
Best wishes

Hello Luciano,
The young bird's tail still needs to grow a lot.
Your main picture has the best composition with leaves all around the blackbird.
The black night functions great as a background.
Perfect sharpness! Excellent shot!

Hi Luciano.
Magnificent the photo of this blackbird, still very young, the greenery of the bush enhances him wonderfully at night, now without people in the streets the birds feel more free.
Very nice color, which together with good sharpness and optimal lighting, gives great quality to the image.
Well done. I like very much
You have a good day.
Best regards and stay safe.
Luis.
P.S. Luciano that you can go out even if it is only 100 meters away, it seems to me a liberation, we cannot go out at all and after 6 weeks, I already begin to feel shut up and anxious about the future and for now until May 11 we continue same; already two months. How horrible, sorry the roll but today I had to write that it seems that we are relieved.

Hello, Luciano!
At these days I miss going out to take photos of birds, and they must be everywhere with the cities so empty! I see you found an opportunity for that, and captured this bird a little scared and with very good light and sharpness! Very nice job!

Salute Luciano.
This is an amazing short story of your escape from home isolation into a free world of nature. This night encounter with the bird probably was worth the risk of being captured by the carabinieri squad or drone, haha. An excellent capture, congratulation !!!

Hello Luciano,
Our curfew is not as rigorous as yours and has been in force only from a month, but I'm staring to be fed up with it. So, I can understand your frustration and strives to get free. Anyhow, this tiny family reunion resulted in a very nice nature shot.
Best Wishes,
