Inspired by Abmdsudi's picture today...
let's make it a day of smiles.

Dieng plateau is a volcanic plateau at an altitude of some 2000 metres in Central Java. The name comes from Di Hyang which means "Abode of the Gods". The area is known for its strange natural beauty, with marshes, hot springs, craters...

This picture shows three pupils of the local primary school in Dieng main village.

Any day is a good day for a smile.

Shyly smiling little kids are irresistible. Maybe this is not a sophisticated and artistic composition, but it's a very nice photo of three cute girls, and the light and colours are fine. I don't need more.

Probably one of the nicest photos one can take is that of children. This is a delightful shot with the very colorful clothing worn by the youngsters. Happy, carefree and trusting comes from their expressions.

I wrote a comment on Abmdsudi's picture saying I was sure the viewers of the portrait he posted would smile back at his model. It's wonderful that you returned the smile with this lovely picture. I like very much the smiles, the colours and the atmosphere of this original and spontaneous group portrait. It's delightful to trace the different characters and realize the contact you established with the little girls. It's natural for the viewer to smile back in this case too:) Congratulations and thank you!

Mooi genomen terwijl deze meisjes heel dicht bij elkaar staan.
Het duurde even vooraleer ik het vierde hoofd (dat van de moeder of van een lerares waarschijnlijk) opgemerkt had.

Hi Benny.The woman behind the girls must have been aware of the photographer and seems neutral. The girls' reactions are interesting, especially of the one on the left who is the shiest of the three yet fascinated at the same time. Prachtig die ondeugende en vrolijke gezichtjes van deze 3 meisjes in het paars. Maar het mooiste en in elk geval het opmerkelijkste is toch het konijn (Nijntje?) op de trui van de middelste. Een foto goed voor een vette glimlach.
