Photographer's Note

This is a follow up photo from my previous Newfoundland series. I had posted "Fun in Fogo" with this same red hut, but in that photo, i had paned left.
Now i pan to the right.

You can see a line of small boats, all attached to one another, i've never seen that before.

Just a simple scene in small town Newfoundland.

I``m missing some sharpness,but it``s a fine shot with the dominant red hut and it``s nice reflection.The row of boats makes the composition perfect.

very fine composition with good colors and nice reflection.I only mii a bit sharpness on the house.Nervertheless a good contribution to TE.TFS.

A lot of simplicity, and a lot of beauty too! Reflections are very nice and I love the boats aligned on the sea. Just a shame the sky is so blue, a little cloudy skies are so beautiful lol

This is a nicely composed shot with the off center placement of the red building. The line of boats create a nice diagonal through the scene. The lighting and colors are great but the photo lacks a little sharpness.

Hi Craig,

greta photo. The boats in line and the pretty reflection made this simple view in a pretty photo. I think the boats attached is used to walk overt them like a bridge.

It might be a simple scene, but it`s a well seen photo opportunity, and an interesting scene. The red cabin is perfectly placed into the frame. The line of boats is an interesting element to include in your composition. The colours are great, and the horizon is melting together with the pale blue sky. Very well done! Thanks for sharing. A minimalist, yet very effective composition. The eyes move naturally across the frame for the red hut along the line of boats. Pleasant light and reflections and very god colours. I like also the long deep view out to the horizon.

Hi Craig,
It is a great composition very well balanced for his exposure and with a nice graphism.
The red hut is outlined with its chromatic power at the left side of the framing, and the rest of the image has a strong visual attractive because of the soft blue tones of the sky and of the sea.
There is very peculiar the way of tying the boats some with others.

But the small house is the real eye catcher.

A very strange sole red hut and then the bouts line-up in one single row, that is really unique. The reflection is beautiful, and the color hues are very vibrant. Well done. Hi Craig, back in Fogo, Yay! This is such a minimalistic, simple photo yet superbly executed. I love the line of boats on the right, they provide a beautiful symmetry and naturally lead the eye to the little red house, which is saturated naturally and looks wonderful in reflection. Hi Craig,

Simple photos are often the most attractive. This one is a case in point...the little red hit and the line of boats, the simple horizon and the nice reflection make this one. Yes, perhaps a bit of sharpness might have added a bit more as would a bit of definition in the sky, but the composition is amazing.
