Strange blue starfish, a photo from Nusa Tenggara Barat, Nusa Tenggara

In the sea around the small Gili Sudat (island) we find strange starfish as the one on the right in my picture, a beautiful blue color, as if it were a starfish cameleon that harmonizes with the bottom of the boat painted in blue. These blue starfishs are the most poached, highly sought after by aquarists.

Beautiful collage as comparison of two starfishes, the blue one is truly strange, but I think in warm seas are so many species of animals that the fisher can for sure find no one unknown specie

An original composition, with these two starfish, so different from each other, both by color and its forms, the blue color should be a rarity, I have never seen them in this color.

We get both of these starfish in Australia, the one at left in Moreton Bay off Brisbane and the blue one further north on the outer Greta Barrier Reef. A nice comparison shot of the 2 images. Tfs!

and yes, i've never seen a blue/purple one before, very interesting indeed. Put them back in the water please!
