Photographer's Note

Only 2 large cruise ships are allowed into Glacier Bay per day but that doesn't apply to small ones like our 80 passenger one. So we were also able to get up close (no long zoom needed for this photo).I'll post much closer photos tomorrow.
This is Glacier Bay's famous and much visited Margerie Glacier. It is quite spectacular because you can see the glacier way back to where it winds out of the mountain range.

You absolutely must view this photo in the large view.

Wow Glacier, isn't it? Natural warm light makes so ideal color touch. Unity of light gray is so comfrotable to see. The best combination with several mountains of background.

this is a breath taking scenery.
It reminds me so much glaciers which I have seen in Chile or Argentina.

Hello Ian,
The glacier is impressive, but so are the dark steep mountains surrounding it and the other peaks almost disappearing in the haze and among the clouds. It's a fascinating scenery and a well taken photo.

I like this angle, we were on a cruise ship and were not able to get this close. i relied heavily on my zoom but the sharpness was not the greatest. Nicely done! 👍🏻👍🏻
