A good symbolic shot.
Looks very cold,hope you had your gloves and a scarf.....
B&W works very well here and the position of the bird is perfect.
But seagulls in Heidelberg????it`s a pidgeon of course!!!!

Poetic..with the backdrop and the receding snow, this could actually be a dull day..as if the scene would not desire any colour...

feeding the birds..am yet to try something like that..an incomplete childhood ?

Fantastic, poetic atmospheric photo, really a b&w masterpiece! Although, I am not sure that the "hope" thing fits the dark, melancholic atmosphere of your photo. The Spaniards, say that "a pesimist, is a well informed optimist", and I am very well informed. On the tomb of Crete's (and probably Greece's) best writer of all times, Nikos Kazantzakis, there are written some of his words: "I hope for nothing, I fear nothing, I am free". So let's bury hope deed down in the ground!
