Eight years, a photo from Istanbul, Marmara

Photographer's Note

Eight years ago I discovered this site, while I was looking for some good photos of New York, after my second trip to that wonderful city.
Not only I found good photos of NY and of the whole world, but also a community of impassioned people about the photography, amateurs or professionals, where to share our passion and at the same time to learn very much on skill and photographic art.
Many of them are nowadays a few great friends, and I have been lucky to meet some of them personally, and it enlarges nicely the spirit.
And, finally, I must say that the help and the advices of many of these big photographers in TE, has made me grow as amateur photographer, for what I give my sincere thanks to all of them.

This photo of the Beyazit Tower at dusk, and its nice atmosphere, taken from the terrace-roof of my hotel in Istanbul, is dedicated to all my friends of this great site.

Hoy hace ocho as que descubr� este site, mientras buscaba algunas buenas fotos de New York, despu駸 de mi segundo viaje a aquella maravillosa ciudad. No solamente encontr� buenas fotos de NY y de todo el mundo, sino tambi駭 una comunidad de apasionados por la fotograf僘, amateurs o profesionales, donde compartir nuestra pasi y al mismo tiempo aprender mucho sobre t馗nica y arte fotogr畴ico.
Muchos de ellos son hoy en d僘 unos grandes amigos, y he tenido la suerte de encontrarme con algunos de ellos personalmente, y eso engrandece agradablemente el esp叝itu.
Y, finalmente, debo decir que la ayuda y los consejos de muchos de estos grandes fotrafos de TE me ha hecho crecer como fotrafo amateur, por lo que os doy las gracias sinceramente a todos.

Esta foto de la Torre Beyazit al anochecer, y su bonita atmfera, tomada desde la terraza-azotea de mi hotel en Estambul, est� dedicada a todos mis amigos de este gran site.

And I appreciate much that you have chosen this wonderfull capture from my beloved homecity for this reason.
The Beyazit tower was been built once ta watch the fires in the city and alarm the fireguards. Nowadays informşing use with it's different colored lamps the weather conditions.
A perfect TE entry with many interesting notes.

Congrats on your eighth year! and what a symbolic shot to remember the day. Indeed a sparkling long exposure night shot depicting the magnificent tower and its popping glorious colours which is so well set off against the evening warm sky. This looks particularly awesome with good detail, pin sharp - thk to your study tripod - and the framing to concentrate on the essential and as usual the exposure control is second to none. I think you have achieved your aim satisfactorily, Very well done, Congrats.

Lo primero felicitarte por todos estos as en TE, con tan buenas imagenes con las que hemos disfrutado y espero y deseo..., superes tu bache y sigamos disfrutando de muchas mas en los proximos as.
Sensacional imagen con un cielo muy bello con los colores del atardecer aun permaneciendo, ya casi en la noche, la torre con su aire orientalizante y sus llamativos colores es como un faro en la noche, donde brillan con fuerza sus llamativos colores, que dan un gran atractivo en la composicion.
Como siempre una magistral imagen, bien presentada tanto por comentario, como por un apropiado marco que pone de relevancia tu buen hacer.

fantastic capture well selected for your anniversary. It is always a pleasure to watch photos in your gallery. This one is a good example of it. I like the strange colors of how the tower was lit there it contrasts a bit with all natural but also colorful sky with horizontal lines crossing the tower as well. Great composition, excellent work!

Parece que el balcon de tu hotle te vino muy bien, muy buenas vistas.
