Photographer's Note
Since the Traders Hotel was a walking distance from the Petronas Towers, I had several opportunities to photograph this landmark at different times of the day. The evening shots ended up being the most successful.
I remember that I had to arch my body backwards and try to hold steady as I took this shot without a tripod.
Somehow the towers reminded me of a space shuttle, especially with the moon overhead.
Fly me to the moon
Let me sing among those stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars...

Whoa Klaudio, what a killer of a shot! I like it even better than your one of the towers from a distance and that was fantastic. I love here the silver and navy tones together with the POV giving us an idea of just how huge these towers are. Excellent job, TFS, Lisa

Zdravo Klaudio,
great night shot of the Petronas twins. Looks indeed like rockets aiming for the moon. Good job.
Kind regards from Germany,

Hi Klaudio
Great POV of the towers, how did you get such clarity without a tripod and back arched, you did exceptionally well! They look like a couple of rocket ships pointing at the moon. TFS

Very beautiful nightshot of the Petronas Towers pointing to the moon.

Klaudio, Great composition and execution with the two towers pointing like rockets to the sky. Yes, I know you had to bend and twist a bit, to get the shot, however when ever I'm in KL I never get the moon as well. Well done.
Best regards
Urs

Hello Klaudio
I knew the influence of moon on tides...but not on towers!
A clever point of view on this homage to our satellite!
Hava g'day.

Hello Klaudio,
This photograph of the Petronas Towers shot two months ago is really one of the finest I've seen of the immense structures. I was in Malaysia to give a series of talks (at the Malaysian Institute of Technology in Johor Bahru), but made it to Kuala Lumpur for all of one day. The night view of the structures is reminiscent of towering crystal chandeliers, and far superior to the daytime view against a blue sky. What I discovered in my shots, however, was the architect had used the Fibonacci Series (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8...) in the relative heights of the various segments.
Warm regards,
Bulent

They are beautiful. Are they still the tallest twin towers of the world?
