Leaving Las Vegas can reveal Nature's rewards. Calico Tanks are the sedimentary rock formations in Red Rock Canyon a short drive north of town. In the middle of this image are rock climbers using ropes to scale the cliffs.

complimenti per l'ottima composizione che d� a questa foto un particolare vigore al quale contribuisce in maniera notevole anche il soggetto e la splendida colorazione delle rocce.
Un Nevada insolito fatto non dalle luci della citt� di Las Vegas ma dal deserto che la circonda.
Un bel contributo alla conoscenza delle bellezze della natura.

It's good to hear from you. The scale of time that created this remarkable topography is mind boggling as is the scale of the rocks themselves. The climbers offer a good gauge for the latter scale.

Very strong and vibrant colors. Looks like many critters live within the cracks of those rocks. Very nice dessert photo.

At one point I though about looking for a house at Calico Basin or Blue Diamond, nice little communities and very close to Las Vegas. Unfortunately the houses are beyond my reach. Nice capture of those rocks, you captured the colors well. Good details. Well done, tfs.
