Photographer's Note

I'm hoping for maybe a little help in Identifying this bird of prey, Its native to Australia and seen quite frequently in North queensland during Sugar cane cutting season when all the rats are flushed out of the cane. THis was such a gorgeous bird, it had been injured at some stage and was being kept in a native animal sanctuary. The eye's show so much intelligence, this one was curious as I was talking to it as I took the picture


It seems this is called a Whistling Kite, I finally found a bird site with information on it :o]
