Photographer's Note
Still on Dartmoor, we can see the River Plym running through the moor, on its' way towards the sea, seen from some granite rocks.
"Granite is an igneous rock that forms when magma cools relatively slowly underground. It is usually composed primarily of the minerals quartz, feldspar and mica.
It is one of the hardest substances in the world, second only to diamonds."
One alternative view in the w/s.
Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean,
This is one of those photos where it really pays to look at an enlarged version. And not just to enjoy the perfect sharpness, but to really notice the fine, soft colours of the moor. The gentle hills provide a good backdrop to the impressive granite rocks in the foreground. The WS is basically just as good, but I prefer the slightly darker main photo where the colours are more naturally saturated.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Jean,
I like how you balanced the shot between the large graniet rocks in the foreground and the smoother hills in the background. The colours are pleasant and natural in the soft light.

Hi Jean, two beautiful photos dedicated to the granite rocks but not only, also the view on the small river is remarkable, in the typical british landscape, excellent quality as always from these natural and uncontaminated sceneries.Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Jean,
I知 one of those people who really enjoys seeing things close, in the f/g, so I like this!
Your sharp exposure gives us some fine details of the rocks, whilst the b/g shows further details of the character of Dartmoor.
Your w/s is equally good.
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Hi Jean,
Fantastic composition. I like the interesting texture of the rocks in the forergound and the way you have included them here. The view opening behind is charming, it reminds me Wicklow Mountains south of Dublin.
In spite of the challenging light the effect is fantastic and co colorful!

Hello Jean
The lichen encrusted granite boulders make a great fg. Good sharpness and a well composed landscape. The bg stone fence adds linear perspective. Tfs!
