Photographer's Note
As today is the international Holocaust memorial day, presented here a monument in the town of Ramat-Gan to commemorate this era.
6 broken chimneies symbolize the 6 million Jews parished.
Memorial days and memorial monuments are presented - to remind us all, that this should never ever happened again.
A slightly diff. version on the WS.

Hello Ike,
I see you for the second time today, again with a very nice picture.
But with a very sadly remembrance, I've a lot original movies about the concentration camps, a pity that people can do these cruelty
We get a lovely panoramic view about these area
This care for depth and perspective.
Your colors are attractive and excellent composition.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice Sunday,

Hello Ike,
The picture in the WS shows the person from a better angle. The advantage of the main picture is that you could exclude the highrise on the distance and give a nicer presentation of the park landscape.
Let's work to a future where no more acts of genocide occure.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ike, Excellent photo of this interesting monument in memory of the victims of the savagery of the Holocaust, I do not wish I could say that is not repeated, for reality insists on showing us every day, that man has not learned the lesson , of human history on the planet. Very good and interesting work my friend, congratulations. Thank you for sharing this beautiful and interesting work.
Good evening and happy start to the week.
A fraternal hug from southern Spain.

100% correct Ike...it should never, ever happen again. A very thoughtful photo and kind gesture in remembrance. It's sad to think that we, as human beings, would ever desire such atrocities against another out of so much hatred.
On a brighter note, this is a well composed photo. The alignment of palm trees gives balance and harmony to the picture. The memorial speaks for itself to set the atmosphere. Great lighting and overall sharpness make for a crisp image. Well done!
Sincerely,
Jason

Hi Ike
The palm trees are framing well the monument. The distance netween the monument and the palm trees is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the monument. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Ike,
A fitting memorial and a fitting photograph for the day. I watched some heart wrenching programmes on T.V. last night and lamented that one human being could have such disregard for another!
A shot that is sharply captured; uses a good dof and is nicely composed, the three trees perfectly positioned, with the focal figure well placed between two of them.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Ike
3 is better than 2, 3 is better than 4.
Odd numbered subjects will always look more pleasing in a scene than even numbered subjects.
its easy to balance out the 3 large palm trees, it looks so good to the eye.
As for the subject material, of course its a serious one, but one that we must not forget.
I like the photo for its composition and brightly lit colors,
nice shot

I liked the monument despite it has a simple conception. nice your image catching the shapes of the palm trees in a marvelous way.excellent job.
some days ago I was reading about Tito's arch in rome with its carvings talking about the sack of jerusalen by the romans and how the jews never passed under the arch until 1948 when the event was finished. then many people tryied to destroy your people but never got this, the bless of God goes on.

Hello Ike
Sad story indeed represented by the six fallen chimneys.
I notice the statue playing horn for the palm trees to make them stand higher, as a flute player would do facing a rattlesnake!
You show the best of Memorial Garden in HD resolution for this homage to innocent victims.
Shalom.

Hello Ike,
meaningful, powerful in its message and leading to reflection over the tragic and sad past. You wrote it should never ever happened again.I know we can not turn back time, but it should never happened-not in the past, not in the future. So itエs an excellent scene to make us aware of cruelty of the World War II and what your nation had to go through.

Dear Ike
I read somewhere (I think it was something Rosemary gave me a link to) that using 3 elements (as you have done here with the palm trees) is the most effective way of grabbing the attention and balancing the image. So congratulations firstly on the way you composed this photo. The colours are very crisp and I love the sharpness and depth here. And of course, what the memorial represents has meaning of course to you and your people, but also to the rest of us around the world. Thank you for sharing.
Warmest wishes and have a good Sunday

Beautiful capture of this memorial for the worst event in the history of mankind. And I'm with you I also hope nothing like that happens again. Maybe someday people will wake up to the realization that there's nothing good to come out of war. TFS.
(There's a Red Flag Exercise at Nellis Air Force Base from Feb. 25 to March 15 with air force units from across the country as well as foreign countries. They are not on the schedule but a friend told me that Israeli Air Force is participating, I'm very excited about seeing Israeli warplanes if it's true.)

Hello Ike,
this is a beautiful and very interesting picture. the bright colours contrast the very sad theme and the monument strikes with its simplicity and directness. It can speak effectively to any spectator. The absolute sharpness and clarity of your image, the light and the colours are very attractive. I like very much the dynamic way the three palm tress fill the background and how you've placed the statue between two of them. Congratulations and thank you! Remembering is vital in our days.
All the best, have a lovely week,

I really enjoy watching your photographs. You have very good eyes for excellent photo subject selection and composition. This one is a very good example with excellent straight view, light and all details around. What I like in the composition? The nice composition with the staue in the frond well backed by palm trees, green foliage and nice blue sky in background. The light is very good and tighter crop excellent.

Hello Ike
Coincidentally I recently uploaded a shot of one of the many death camps in west Poland which was then part of Nazi Germany. I was surprised to learn that it wasn't just Jews who were murdered, but mentally and physically retarded Germans as well. Additionally, Franciscan monks protesting the warped Nazi ideology were also executed, along with Gypsies, Polish political prisoners, gays, and Russian POW's. Basically anyone who opposed or conflicted with their insane views. A fitting memorial & tribute. Tfs!
