The Streets of Riga

A photo from the historical centre of Riga, called Vecrīga (Old Riga), which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. This photo was taken at the corner of Krāmu iela and Tirgoņu iela. In the background, you can just see the tower of Riga Cathedral (Rīgas Doms).

Pink and white painted facades gave a wonderful tone to the old-town's, a corner POV well shown in depth and clarity.
The guy in blue jeans and shirt was busy looking at the beautiful lady on right side.

A good angled pov giving the viewer a choice of the sunny street at right or the shadowed street at left. Excellent sharpness and nice warm cold color contrasts between the pink facade of the central building and the blue sky. Tfs!

Hello Lars,
It's a very nice street with well restored buildings. You did well to include the narrow street to the left with the view towards the cathedral and the flowers on the right side. The light and colours are excellent and a fair number of pedestrians enliven the view.

Hi Lars,
Quite efficinent use of wide angle on this old town street corner. The one in the middle has special facade. These builings are beautifully renovated. Just the wall on the left reveals that there probably are a lot of work still to be done.

Hello Lars, Pleasant picture of this corner in Riga. One can easily identify this place on the pictuers taken from the St. Peter's tower - yours or mine. I stayed in a hostel somewhere very close but in winter it looked different.

Ja, ja, Riga is toch wel een heel aantrekkelijke stad. Zeker met het fraaie weer dat we hadden. In het centrum kan je duidelijk zien dat de EU gelden goed zijn besteed aan dit UNESCO erfgoed.

Mooie combinatie van de roodroze gevel met het blauw van de lucht.
Ook een goede standpunt van waarop je de foto nam met het jonge paar net voor de hoek van het dichtstbijzijnde en heel mooie gebouw.
Mooie tegenstelling tussen de delen in de schaduw en die in de zon.

Lars, Riga historical centre has cobbled streets. The building facades are elegant. The passersby animate the scene, the pink flowers add vivid colors to the composition. Good sharpness, instructive photo note, regards.
