Argo II, a photo from Thessaloniki, Macedonia

Photographer's Note

Almost everyone has heard of Jason and the Argonauts. But few people know that the name of the ship they sailed was the Argo. No golden fleece here, but the water does have an attractive golden sheen.

This ship was moored in Thessaloniki as a semi permanent restaurant when I was there, but might now be in Volos?

Hello Chris,
I hope the food was as good as the atmosphere among the lights and reflections at blue hour. There might have been a possibility of a tourist trap, but the photo is good and very well exposed.

Blue hour par-excellence picture when the boat was out sailing at dusk.

A very nice shot of this iconic ship, which stands out very nicely here against the dark blue colours of the evening sky. The illuminations look really nice and are very attractively reflected in the water.

Hello Chris, a lovely 'blue hour' shot where the lamps from the boat have created some reflected light which adds to the effectiveness of your shot.
It looks like a pleasant venue for a restaurant.

Beautiful blue hour. It was not easy I see because the nature behind has no lights almost and the boat is not equally lit but you managed it well and the result is clearly impressive,

another new week begun
lets hope that it will be better
from the previous one...
now about the photo and this ship
name Argo...Yew this ship belongs to my
city Volos concerning the story
about Jason and aRGONAUTS
Unfortunately has some problems
so it is difficult to be sailed..
But it is used only for decorations
i.e.during christmas days it is
decorated for lights outside the sea....
you are wellcome to my city volos
to see this ship again....the hospitality
will be mine
