Photographer's Note

After we saw Kırkpınar Er Meydanı, we continued with our quest of historic bridges around Edirne. Our next stop was Yalnızgz and Bayezid Bridges, though at the time we did not realize they were two separate bridges. As we were approaching what we saw as a long bridge, there was a herd of sheep and goats coming our way from the other side. When a taxi came by, it was time to employ the long end of my zoom to record the event.

"Yalnızgz Bridge ('Yalnızgz Kprs') and Bayezid Bridge ('Bayezid Kprs') are the link of Sultan Bayezid II Klliyesi (mosque complex) with the city. The Bayezid Bridge is named after Bayezid II. The bridges are separated from one another by a small low sandy island in the middle of the river along which a stone causeway is routed. The Bayezid Bridge is the more substantial of the two."
