Frozen tress #1, a photo from 宮城, 東北

Photographer's Note

I went to the Northen mountains area to see Frozen tress, those are very famous seasonal occasions in Japan. Cold and wet wind hit pain trees so frequently and these giant monstras grow day by day. Usualy the beginning of Feb is the peak season.

Much snow and frozen trees but also the different colours of the sky is specially.

These trees are amazing - I haven't seen anything like this before. Love the soft tinge of colour in the sky that seems to soften the frozen condition of the trees.

Hello Takero, a surreal scene with the strange shapes of the trees emerging from the ground like monsters!

What a beautiful winter scene. I can almost feel the cold; it must be freezing in this location. It looks like a foreign, frozen planet, with no signs of life. The pastel colors in the sky are wonderful, too.
