On a Slow Boat to China, a photo from Hong Kong, South

Hello everyone! Back from Down Under, let's start with a quick one from...Hong Kong ! Which was a stop on our way to Perth. I had never been so it was totally new for me. The stop was short but this city probably deserves a longer stay : hills topped with endless sky-reaching apartment buildings, super tankers berthing in the bay, a eye-popping harbor...well...surprising to say the least!
I'm really lagging behind with all your posts, on which I kept an eye anyway. I'll try and catch up!

Hi Phil,
I love this song, and honestly, it perfectly fits to this composition: the melody is something totally American with some nice exotic scents, and so do this image. Just look at the skyline of the globalized metropolitan city in the background works as coulisse and the replica of the old boat is like a key element of the decor in the limelight.

Hong-Kong, une ville que j'aimerais bien d馗ouvrir; d駱aysement garanti.
Belle entr馥 en mati鑽e avec une belle lumi鑽e, les contrastes de couleurs et l'oppostion entre modernisme et tradition, ou plut entre tourisme et affaire.

La composition est extra , avec ce contraste fantastique entre le b穰eau traditionnel (m麥e si c'est un prom鈩e-touristes) aux couleurs chaudes , et la ville moderne au teintes froides .

This is a very nice shot of the boat, with a lovely light on it.The buildings in the B.G.are impressive and make a good backdrop for the boat, I do however find the samsung advertising very distracting, and maybe a slight crop would benefit.

I remember this place very well as I enjoyed this gorgeous view of the harbor out of my hotel window when I stayed in HK. But I wasn't so lucky to see such a stunning golden boat as you pictured here. The composition is excellent as well as presentation. Thank you and all the best.

Salut Phil,

Je sais exactement o� tu te trouvais pour capturer cette sc鈩e, mais j'ai eu beaucoup moins de chance que toi, alors que la ville 騁ait couverte de brouillard pendant tout mon s駛our.

Mais quelle photo superbe que cette embarcation procure!!! Le moment semblait id饌l, avec ce soleil qui claque sur la paroi du bateau et qui met en relief les gratte-ciels en arri鑽e-plan. Puis il y a ce ferry qui traverse au m麥e moment, alors c'est la totale, comme Hong Kong in a nutshell...

Une lumi鑽e g駭駻euse, un cityscape � couper le souffle et une "authentique r駱lique" qui apporte la touche asiatique � cette carte postale impressionnante.

je ne suis pas all馥 � Hong Kong lors de mon voyage en Chine, mais quand je vois une telle photo, je me dis que 軋 l'aurait bien m駻it�.Le contraste entre modernit� et tradition est saisissant,et le bateau que je trouve tr鑚 beau, est baign� d'une splendide lumi鑽e.Magnifique!
