Smooth cycling path, a photo from Kara, North

Photographer's Note

The best cycling path we ever had was the no1 highway that leads from Togo's capital Lom� on the southcoast to the border with Burkina Faso 700 km up north.
Well not realy a cycling path but ciclysts and pedestrians were far more visible here than the rare cars especially north of Kara.

You chose the best POV and framing. Although you had not the sun on your right side exactly, the filter polarization effect makes the shot more fantastic. Well done!

Hello Gerrit,
A good composition making good use of the tree as an anchor point before the eyes go on to take in the wonderful deep perspective along the road. The cyclists and pedestrians add a touch of vitality to an otherwise deserted landscape. The graduated blue sky makes a fine contrast with the pale green tones of the vegetation.

Nice and interesting road picture!
The landscape around looks a bit arid and life for those people must be hard!
Sharpness, exposure, pov, dof, colors, pp, contrasts, horizontal format and composition are all excellent!

Grote perspectief van het Afrikaanse landschap uit de weg, waar weinig bomen en de mensen lopen, geven uitstekende diepte.

Goed avond Gerit,

Excellent shot with an athmospher of immensity. POV well selcetd whith the way which give gret prospect effect. Good balalnce in the composition with the high tree on the left of the image. Interesting element of life with the three peopels on the road.

Hi Gerrit. This scene reminds me of my recent visit to Botswana and Zambia as I too saw many people walking in the midday sun usually carrying something. Life is a struggle in many places around the world. Nicely composed, giving the impression of a looong journey. Regards. Klaudio.
