Lom� is the easy-going capital of Togo and has a provincial feel for an African capital. With 700.000 inhabitants it is by far the largest city in the country.
Here you see a view from the fine Siss owned budget Hotel "Le Galion" towards the ocean, just at the western edge of the Towns centre

Hello Gerrit,
The easy-going atmosphere you describe is well presented here. People walking or slowly going on bicycle along the sandy road. Between the shades the sand is painted red by the late afternoon sun.
