Photographer's Note
When I grew up in Chennai, India, suddenlcy I realized that sparrows which I used to see in my younger days have vanished. The environmentalists blamed it on the changing archetecture of the city- the conventional houses being replaced by apartments and tall buildings. Recently when I had visited Kabale Uganda, I found sparrows-One of the local bird watcher told me that yellow weaver bird also have similar sparrow features. Some species have mild yellow colour. This sparrow was playing in a building which had been recently painted with yellow colour. I am not sure whether the mild yellow tones are the natural ones or due to the yellow paints on the wall. Somebody after seeing this photo commented that I should have focused on gorillas in Kabale instead of sparrows. But this sparrow gave me a thrill which is equavelnt to that of seeing a gorilla in the equatorial forest.
