Yurt tent, a photo from Abseron, Absheron

Photographer's Note

This original Turkish tent was established as a history and literature class in a school in Baku. The Turkish name of this tent is 'yurt'.
Students take Turkish and history courses in this class. On the wall there is a national symbol bozkurt (gray wolf). This is also the national symbol of the American Indians.

Bu orijinal Turk cadırı Baku'de bir okulun i輅nde tarih ve edebiyat sınıfı olarak kurulmus. Bu 軋dırın Turkce adı 'yurt'tur.
Ogrenciler Turkce ve tarih derslerini bu sınıfın (軋dırın) i輅nde alıyorlar. Duvarda da milli sembol bozkurt var. Bu aynı zamanda Amerikan Kızılderililerinin de milli sembol�d�r.

I have been to Mongolia and the interior of the yurts (or gers as they call them there) is similar, except that there is no fireplace or any support poles in this one. Wonderful colour and saturation with good sharpness. The closeup of a wolf tapestry is a bonus. Tfs!

Wow, what a colourful yurt!
Long ago I once spent a few nights in a Kazakh yurt in Western China, but it certainly was not that colourful.
The many colours, the carpets or kilims and the pillows make it look very cozy.
