Photographer's Note
Having just stepped off the plane from Dakha, I want to begin the journey as I began three weeks ago at Sadarghat.
Sadarghat Port is located in the southern part of Dhaka, on the river Buriganga. Here, the Sadarghat Launch Terminal is one of the largest river ports in the world. About 200 large and small passenger launches (motorized boats) depart and arrive at the terminal every day. According to the officials at the terminal, 50,000 people, in average, use the terminal for departure and arrival every day.

Hi Elaine
This is the kind of composition that really makes the picture, clean and neat. What a bustling port, full of lively acitivity going about in muted colors with excellent background of approaching ferries, the vital links, enhancing the depth and perspective. Loads of details and interests around to boost the general visual aspect but I love the haziness which further enhances the sense of distance and atmosphere. An equally good infor notes, it's always good for us less informed to know more about what we're looking at. I am sure its a pretty place to sit and watch the world go by with endless photographic subjects. This is lovely little insight into life at the local and a wealth of memories. Great shot.
Warm regards
