MAN MO TEMPLE, a photo from Hong Kong, South

Photographer's Note

Man Mo temple was created in 1847 to celebrate the memory of the Literature god (Man) and the war god (Mo). These two gods were in fact real human beings from other ages, crowned as gods because their big value during the life.
There are many altars with images and this part of the temple has the ceiling filled with many giant spirals of incense. The building was in restore when I was there.

O Tempo Man Mo foi criado em 1847 para celebrar a memia do deus da literatura (Man) e do deus da guerra (Mo).Esses dois deuses eram verdadeiros seres humanos de outras eras, elevados � essa categoria divina por seu valor na vida.
Existem v疵ios altares com imagens e um local onde o teto do templo � preenchido com muitas espirais gigantes de incenso.O pr馘io estava passando por restauro quando o visitei.

Jorge, i didn t know the spirals were incense. Many spirals are suspended to the temple ceiling. Nice glimpse of its interior. The red lanterns embellish the building. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Jorge,

The combination of golden spirals and illuminated lanterns makes an eye-catching picture.
The silhouetted shapes anchor the f/g, creating a fine sense of depth.

Un temple comme je n'en avais jamais vu. Tu t'es concentr� sur ces formes coniques au plafond ce qui est tr鑚 original mais aussi tr鑚 difficile � photographier.

Hello Jorge,

I missed this despite 2 visits to Hong Kong. Maybe next time? I have seen shots of this temple with the incense coils lit and smoking, which adds an entirely different mood. Good repetition of patterns and shapes, with excellent sharpness. Tfs!
