Photographer's Note

This photo is taken from a bus window on the way from airport to our hotel. It is on Nathan Road, near the Mong Kok MTR station entrance.

The second floor of the bus provided some great views of the Hong Kong night but it was difficult to take any good photos as the bus was moving :) This one is shot with [email protected] and the result was ok as the bus was stopped.

When travelling around I like taking many-many snapshots out of the window of a car, train, bus, boat or whatever the veichle might be. Most of the photos don't come out good enough quality to show others but are fun to browse through after the travel. And sometimes these spontaneous snapshots convey more of the feeling and local atmosphere than carefully composed ones.

I liked the up-down anlge in this one. Maybe there's little too much bus on the right side, but I did not find any good way to crop it smaller. I could have just dropped from the left, but I really like the 3x5 format better than square ones - so I left it as it was.

Postprocessing in PS:
Resize, little unsharp mask (180%, radius 0,2px, treshold 0levels), autolevels, autocolor, autocontrast (last 3 did not change much)
