中秋节, the mid-autumn festival.
Chinese celebrate the September full moon as the roundest and brightest one of the year. Traditionally people stay outside to admire the moon.
In this picture the full moon became just visibile from our viewpoint in the village of Ping'an, a Zhuang village in the hills. Ping'an is famous for its surrounding hills which are completely cultivated into rice terraces.
