This picture is taken south-west of Daxin, around the village of Mingzhi, close to the border with Vietnam. The landscape here looks very similar to the more well known Guilin area in the north of Guangxi province. The same kind of pinnacles and strange rocks pop out of the earth. Between the hills the land is flat, which makes it excellent to navigate by bicycle.
It is still very quiet in this area and not very developed yet for tourism. This in great contrast with the tourist overrun Guilin.
Sugarcane is the main crop here, actually there is hardly anything else. It is harvested by hand. There is a big sugar factory in a nearby village.
The area is very pretty.
