Photographer's Note

Just two small kids in a small village up in the hills around Langmusi. We rode into the village on horseback and had a meal in one of the houses there.

These two little girls were a bit intimidated at first by those three strangers who 'd just appeared on their doorstep, but don't worry. They were smiling just a bit later.

Kids are always great, and most adults too.
Same thing everywhere you go.

This is a wonderful, simple photo. The kids are adorable and the various things on the shelf tell me a bit about life in this village. The colours and light are excellent and the photo is well balanced.
I fully agree that most people everywhere in the world are nice and kind.

The looks on these girls' faces are just precious! They seem very suspicious of you, but a cute kind of suspicious. :-) Their body language is also great. This is such a strong double portrait, with evidence of daily life on the window sill above. I like the position of the girls in the frame, and the overall feeling of this photo.

Hello Ben, I would cut the upper part with the TV dish and some disorder on the window and show only these cute kids. It would look like taken many years ago.The picture has charm of old photos. Amazing dresses and these shoes that seem too big. beautiful image anyway. I like it a lot.

Great composition, down to their eye level capturing children in a very natural way ...

Such solemn faces they give you and some intriguing looks which makes the photo interesting and full of questions. Love the way the window becomes part of the frame, obviously quite an opportunistic shot well taken, Congrats.

They look really sweet and a bit serious, maybe because they didn't know you. I like their poses and the satellite dish in background. Looks like a very simple and nice place.
