Hi William:

Now that is a beard! :) This is a very nice shot, and the man's face and eyes say so much, but the lack of a note really hurts the shot. We don't know anything about this guy or his life--other than what we can guess. Your bokeh and colors are very nice here.

I agree with the first comment on the colors and bokeh. They very much play together to bring the eye into the man's face.

A friend of mine told me recently that a good photo is one that makes the viewer ask questions. This photo certainly does that. You've made a man, who probably doesn't get a lot of attention the featured attraction. You have made us want to focus on him and know him better. You make us want to know who he is, what his eyes have seen, and what he thinks of us looking at him this way. I'm not sure if you could have answered all those questions in a note, and in a way, I like filling in the blanks with my fantasy. Great photo!

William, this is a great capture, the expression in the man's eyes and the detail captured in the lines of his face are superb. Well done.

Lovely portrait, great background and excellent sharpness on the man's face. He looks like a very interesting man. I usually don't like people not writing notes, but here it doesn't bother me at all. The picture speaks for itself. For me this is the stand-out shot in your gallery so far.
