Kutaisi International Airport also known as David the Builder Kutaisi International Airport is an airport located 14 km (8.7 mi) west of Kutaisi, the second largest city in Georgia and capital of the western region of Imereti. It is one of three international airports currently in operation in Georgia, along with Tbilisi International Airport serving the Georgian capital and Batumi International Airport near the Adjara Black Sea resort. The airport is operated by United Airports of Georgia, a state-owned company.
The airport was closed for renovation in November 2011. Its reopening ceremony was held on 27 September 2012.
Kutaisi is the legislative capital of Georgia. Situated 221 kilometres (137 miles) west of Tbilisi

Cześc Piotrze, Efektownie wygląda to lotnisko z czerwonym elementem dekoracyjnym.
Lądowanie w Kutaisi to jedno z zabawniejszych w moich podr�żach. Już schodziliśmy do lądowania (zapiąć pasy itd), kiedy pilot ogłosił, ze nie może lądować i będzie krążył. Krążył, po czym ogłosił, ze lecimy do Tbilisi, ale żeby go o nic nie pytać, bo nic nie wiem. Po jakimś czasie blisko Tbilisi znowu: zbliżamy się do lotniska w Tbilisi, zapiąć pasy... po czym urwał i powiedział: jednak będziemy lądować w Kutaisi, zawracamy. Okazuje się, że była burza śnieżna. Jak wylądowaliśmy przed p�łnocą, to nie można było wysiąść z samolotu, bo byli nieprzygotowani i trzeba było czekać, aż odlodzą schodki. Ale wszystko dobrze się skończyło.

Magnificent modern design of the airport terminal, shown beautifully on almost a blue hour.
Its red corner made it so attractive, and the well illuminated hall on right side is in fine contrast to the other side not lit.

The sleek modern architecture seems very appropriate for an airport. I like the composition and point of view with the curving path making an effective lead-line. Very well exposed to capture the blue hour mood.

This modern and attractive terminal is in style with a lot of other recent buildings in Georgia. I don't know if the building-boom is still going on or if it was mainly a thing for Saakashvili. The weak light is perfect for this photo and enhances the fine tones of dark blue, red and green. The yellow light from inside looks inviting.

This is one beautifully modern building!
Your viewpoint uses the path to lead directly to the attractive red, figure-shaped motif, which emphasises the modernity of the building.
It's a lovely 'blue hour' shot, the artificial lights adding to the attractive impact.

I wouldn't immediately recognise this as an airport, it looks pretty small. I really like its modern architecture and you captured it here under fine light conditions. The warm lights from the terminal contrast nicely with the dark blue sky.

Te terminale lotniskowe sa zawsze w awangardzie, a na dotatek sa pierwszym budynkiem widzianym po wyladowaniu, musza wiec byc wizytowka, swietne zdjecie o zmierzchu, elegancko pokazany budynek
