The farmlands and villages of Rishi River Valley with its ethnic hamlets. Ridges and valleys are covered with mixed open forests with a few villages in and around the Valley.

wonderful! i just cant stop appreciating the places i like. you must have already known that we bengalis are nostalgic and romantic about the hills of Darjeeling and Kalimpong. You will already find many here in TE who are absolutely crazy over it.
thanks for posting this wonderful shot, and i hope you will keep posting many more from the wonderful mountains.

Lopshang,
you have a lot of nice landscape shot in your gallery and your approach is a good one to capture it, but the metering isn't always the best. Take for example the present post. The sky is clearly washed out, overexposed, ... You have several options to improve that. The best option is always in the field, at the place and moment of shooting and for that I recommend you in this case here a ND grad filter with probably three stops. Another possibility is putting your camera on manual and increasing your speed from 1/15 to 1/20 03 even 1/30.
The other option is working on your image on the monitor by doing some layers to burn the sky.

Your pov is interesting to show the pebbles in water and the valley view to show the mountains at far end. Good country scenic view. Nice color contrast and tone.

It's a nice shot of mountains' landscape. The river leads to the houses and hills in the background. The composition with the pebbles in the foreground was good idea. It's a great picture from Rishi Valley.
