I know the title may be a little funny,but it is true.
The beautiful terrain here is just as dangerous as it could get.

This shot was taken after crossing Zoji la and a little checkpost 'Gumri' set up by army to monitor intruders.
This place receives very heavy snowfall during winter.The highway is closed for more than half a year due to that reason. This is first glimpse of snow one could see on the highway. I mean you find snow all along but here you can actually see the beauty of it. Deserted totally and totally in sync with nature.

This is a great shot of this dramatic landscape. The contrasts are dramatic here with the dark mountain, bright snow and great blue sky. Your composition is fine using the river to lead the eye into the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

This is beautiful, sure any beauty can be dangerous, as long as you handle with care. it will be just fine. Nature has its way. This is not an image I had in mind when I think of India, therefore it's very refreshing to see. Thanks for the beautiful image.

Hi Neelima,
A very beautiful photograph, of this rugged place. I think it must be very desolate and inhospitable country. I like your POV very much, the view down the valley to the far off mountain is quite dramatic.
The sky there is so clear, you have used just enough pola effect to enhance the colour perfectly.

Hello Neelima, thanks for your comments, strange but I must say this is very similar to mine not in content but in colour. Nice scene, captured from a good POV & nice to hear that it is not spoilt by humans, nature as it is meant to be.

This is a beautiful landscape, very well framed, nice colors, but I can see some noise and artifacts due to compress process. maybe you should review your re-sezings procedure. Your photo is quite small in kB.
