These are double humped camels in Nubrah Valley, Ladakh, waiting for visitors to take a ride on them....The Double hump helps these camels store extra food for the extreme climates. The number of such camels is decreasing continuously in the valley now....

This are wonderful animals, waiting on tourists.
Maybe come through to few tourist that the owner remain without work, and animals must to sell.
An excellent picture to look at.

Hi Manisha,a camel trip is one of the unconfortable as i know..hhee..i been many times in these camel rides, but only in arabic countries,this scenery is different and magical,excellent capture as usual. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hi Manisha,
Impressive view from far away on a high level Himalayan plain. Double humped camels are rarely presented on this forum! Light was rather tricky ranging from snow covered mountain tops to dark fur of foreground camels.

hello Manisha, Nice view of these camels resting high in the mountains. It seems that in this cold area their fur is thicker. I rode a camel in the Thar Desert, near Jaisalmer. But it had one hump. I suppose that to sit between humps would be more comfortable. Fantastic mountains in the background. Best regards MAlgo
