Most of the photos you see of the ghats at Varanasi are taken during the day, but they are worth visiting at night as well - there are still pilgrims praying and bathing and there is a different, quieter atmosphere.
Rotated, and adjusted levels.

A very nice image full of poetry. All the elements in the photo appeal to me: the silhouettes, of course, the trees, the wonderful sun rays.A wonderful shot.

hi brian...
of course, Varanasi being one fo favourite spots, i agree how great and how utterly differen it is at night. i am really happy to see this night shot here.
it does have a mysterious feel to it, and transports me to the ghats at night. the blurry ghostly figure is especially enticing.

Hi Brian,

Another beautiful shot from you...at a distance, I thought this was somewhere in the UK. A very different view of Varanasi...having never been there, this is an interesting difference to the photographs which emerge from there.

No doubt you have enhanced the colours on this, but I'll let you off, as it looks stunning...
